REGENERATION

WE RESPECT THE ORIGINAL CUSTODIANS OF OUR LAND AND THEIR CONNECTION TO COUNTRY. WE BELIEVE IN FOLLOWING NATURE'S CYCLES AND SUPPORTING SUSTAINABLE HARVESTING.

We acknowledge that sustainability and land regeneration is a complex issue and that all product creation is founded in consumption. It is important that the true custodians of our lands are given a voice and platform. As a boutique perfume house, we are conscious to not make or proclaim statements about both sustainability and land generation, and remain humble to being corrected and educated at any opportunity. Above all else, we strive to be honest and authentic, and we dedicate our perfume house to lowering consumption. Below is a list of current commitments.

ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS MATERIALS

We are intentional in our material selections whilst not compromising on quality. Our 50ml glass bottles are sourced and made in Italy. To reduce waste our caps are made from recyclable material that includes rice husks and save 70% of Co2 emissions. Our e-commerce packaging is sourced locally and made from recyclable packaging and our material bags are made using up-cycled left over fabric.

SOURCING AT ORIGIN

Our raw materials are sourced directly from sustainable, bio-dynamic growers and distillers and we favour wild harvested materials. We acknowledge sourcing at origin is still complex issue and a huge gap remains between the profits made in different global communities. Sourcing at origin ensures the quality of key natural ingredients and we support producers who provide a fairer wages and conditions for producers and communities.

CIRCULARITY

Our 10ml bottles are refillable. We provide instruction on how to properly recycle our 50ml perfume bottle. Alternatively, you can return it to us for proper disassembly and processing. Our grape alcohol is made in the Adelaide Hills from winemaking residues.

INDIGENOUS PARTNERSHIPS

We have an absolute responsibility to acknowledge the profound significance of plant medicine in Australian Aboriginal traditions and the impact of colonization on these practices. For thousands of years, indigenous Australians have relied on the healing properties of plants, utilising them in traditional medicine, spiritual rituals, and daily life. SIUNO stands committed to preserving and revitalizing these traditions.

SIUNO donates 1% of profits to the The Returning, a charity dedicated to supporting
indigenous communities. Through this  ongoing partnership, we aspire to honour the wisdom of our elders, bridge cultural understanding, and promote sustainable use and preservation of our natural resources.

SIUNO donates 1% of all sales to Indigenous charity The Returning.  We are committed to creating a more inclusive world and are making choices that are better for our planet in connection with all of humankind.
